At the heart of each Clavius lens is a 1970's Russian Helios 58mm optical block. From there, conversion optics are added to achieve the 28, 38, and 88mm focal lengths, all while keeping the characteristics of the original vintage optical block, and maintaining the ability to cover Full Frame/VV sensors.

These lenses offer a vintage, low-contrast aesthetic that perfectly softens those super sharp modern sensors. But it is their unique aperture disk inserts that bring them to the next level. While the 1.5x, 2x, and 3x ovals are known to be the most popular as they deliver a very convincing anamorphic bokeh, be sure to try out the colored inserts and the 20 different FX disks that offer soft focus, distortion, and many other unique looks. Multiple copies of the most popular aperture disks are included which allows the full set of lenses to be pre-installed with matching disks.
